Massachusetts teacher, who resigned after he was photographed at Capitol riot, is elected to school

A former Massachusetts teacher — who was photographed at the United States Capitol during the Jan. 6 insurrection — will now join his town’s school board.

Matthew Lynch, a Braintree teacher of 10 years before quitting in the wake of the Capitol riot, was elected to the town’s School Committee Tuesday, Patch reported.

Lynch, 35, was photographed at the Capitol on Jan. 6, Patch said, the day a mob of supporters of former President Donald Trump stormed the building in hopes of disrupting the counting of electoral votes. In the weeks following the riot, after the images had appeared on social media, Lynch left his teaching job and told the Braintree High School principal that he would run for school committee.

In emails to Patch, Lynch said he had twice been interviewed by the FBI about his involvement in the Capitol insurrection. He did not say whether he was the target of an FBI investigation.

We need to speak about what Democratic policies do for Americans. Not in lofty terms, despite our lofty goals. Carville had a point.

We play bad defense.

We need to appeal to the poor, and the rural, and the big city for a fairly rural area, and our traditional strongholds. Call out the crazy. We're not the mommy party, but the exasperated big brother and bis sister party tired of the little brother's mess, calling him out.

I believe in free and fair elections, so if that's what they want, they got it.

One of our board members used the "N" word on TV and won re-election by 68% (NC).
