Check out this pearl of wisdom the Island Creek Oyster team is taking its show on the road, D Street to be exact.
The famous seafood suppliers and restaurateurs are hosting the annual Island Creek Oyster Festival right here in Southie at the Lawn on D on Sept. 19 from 4 p.m. to 8:30 p.m.
The festival, formerly of Duxbury, will benefit the Island Creek Oyster Foundation, which provides education and support for responsible, sustainable aqua-
culture. Thanks to a stellar lineup of chefs and musicians, the tickets sold out in one day.
But one lucky Herald foodie will attend as my plus one. Tune in to Status Report on Boston Herald
Radio today from noon to
1 p.m. and tweet us your deets at @ericacorsano (CC: @heraldradio) every time I say the word bivalve. Each tweet will be entered into a drawing and one winner will come to the festival with yours truly.
