Quincy pot shop owner seeks two more dispensary licenses

QUINCY
The company opening a medical marijuana dispensary in West Quincy says it wants to open two more elsewhere in the state.
But it doesn’t know where yet.
Ermont Inc., a Provincetown nonprofit, was one of 49 companies that filed applications with the state last month seeking permission to open one or more medical marijuana dispensaries. Ermont is currently renovating the warehouse at 216 Ricciuti Drive, next to the Granite Links Golf Club, with plans to open a dispensary there by early next year.
Ermont’s West Quincy site is one of 15 dispensaries that received approval from the state’s Department of Public Health last year in the first round of applications. State residents voted to legalize medical marijuana in the 2012 election.
