Plans to Redo Boston's Iconic Market Stir Debate

The owners of Boston’s historic Quincy Market are envisioning a major overhaul of the iconic complex of food vendors and retailers.
~snip~

Some city officials are concerned the changes might be too drastic, and the market’s familiar food vendors and pushcart operators say they face an uncertain future.

I hope the vendors and pushcart operators don't get screwed if they overhaul it. I like to mosey around in there in search of food when I'm in the area.

I admit, it's pretty crowded at Lunch, but that's part of the Ambiance. Making it all nice an pretty for the elitist snobs is going to jack-up Concession rents, take away the in-your-face interaction with the vendors, raise prices of the food and just make it somewhere I won't go to when we visit Boston.
