(37,684 posts)So drastically that I think Id go into shock if I had one of those.
I think its been decades since I had anything like that.
If bucolic sees this post, though, she might make a run on the doughnuts. She hasnt mentioned them or watermelon for quite a while.

(135,777 posts)this place a bit far for a 'donut run,' 67 miles!
Similarly sad that my daughter attended a wedding 100 miles away in MD, and grandson's playing soccer later in NJ, so can't see either of them.

(8,791 posts)A co-worker who lives in Annapolis stops there a couple times a year and treats the office to a couple dozen. They are delicious. Plain white box, simple selection, nothing fancy, amazingly good. My favorite is the vanilla frosted with shredded coconut. I could eat a half dozen myself.

(13,344 posts)good. Anyways, a shop opened up on the Upper West Side. My s-i-l lives in Parsippany, N.J. She bought a dozen to bring home for famil.
Not one donut made it back to Parsippany.
Wonder Why
(4,572 posts)the donuts were just out of the cooker. Alas, they got cheap and the "Hot" sign was never on again - because they stopped making them in the store. They went out of business.
They got what they deserved. Greedy owners couldn't stand losing that little extra income by getting rid of the cooks and the equipment maintenance costs. I'm glad they are gone.
