ASPEN HILL, Md. -- Six people, including three children, were taken to the hospital after a car crash in Aspen Hill, Md. on Friday night.
The crash happened around 7 p.m. at Norbeck Road and Westbury Road near Rockville. Officials say five people were trapped and had to be extricated from one car.
A total of six people, three adults and 3 children, were taken to the hospital. Officials say most were transported as trauma patients.
UPDATE - Norbeck Rd & Westbury Rd, 2-car collision (van vs car) w/ 5 trapped in car, EMS transported 6, incl 3 adults, 3 children (teenagers), several (5 of 6) trauma patients, some lanes BLOCKED, PD directing & investigating
Route 28 at Norbeck Road and Westbury Road were closed in both directions due to the crash.
The cause of the crash is unknown at this time.
