CARAT: Coordinating and Assisting the Re-Use of Assistive Technology in Kentucky
From the website...
Hello, and welcome to Project CARAT! The goal of our project is to make medical equipment more accessible to those who need it in Kentucky.
The goal of Project CARAT is to make Assistive Technology and Durable Medical Equipment more accessible to those who need it in rural Kentucky. In order to make this happen, Project CARAT is partnering with agencies across the state. We'll take donated equipment, clean it, make repairs if we need to, and then redistribute it to people who need it in exchange for a small donation. If you live in rural Kentucky and need equipment, or have equipment you'd like to donate, please let us know! To date, we have delivered 319 pieces of equipment to 217 Kentuckians!
Funding from Project CARAT comes from a federal government grant program through the HRSA. The grant is administered by our Project CARAT partners which are listed to the right.
If you have any questions, please see our Contact Us page for more information! We look forward to serving you!
