it makes me sad that Thomas Massie looks to be running unopposed this election cycle

anybody know if theres a challenger or not ?

I now its a super long shot, but I still wish someone would at least give him a fight..

the guy claims to be pro-coal yet he has solar panels on his own house and takes tax credits for doing so im sure..
seems to me he should be working to give the same opportunity to be free of high cost energy or start taking his power from the industry he claims to support..


Also, I noticed that in 1932 Kentucky had a "at-large congressional district" which did not use a district election format, but instead, elected all representatives in a state-wide at-large manner....

do you think democrats would be more likely to be electing that type of format today ? or would it benefit republicans?
im pretty sure all the reps from Kentucky that came out of the 1932 election were Dems

I haven't heard much about him, but based on this article, I think it sounds like a stretch to even call him a democrat.

The KY 4th is about as red as you can get, but I do wish there would at least be some opposition. It will never change if we preemptively surrender every time.


As for the at-large format - that's interesting I didn't know it was ever done that way! Today, I don't think it would be beneficial to democrats. We get an occasional progressive house member (like Yarmuth) from Louisville. I don't think that would ever happen in a statewide election. That's just my impression, I don't have anything to back that up.
