Andy Beshear and Bernie Sanders share same 'communist' ideology, Matt Bevin claims

Gov. Matt Bevin released a video on Sunday claiming that Sen. Bernie Sanders and Attorney General Andy Beshear share "the same ideology," adding in a tweet sharing the video that this ideology is "communist."

The reelection campaign of the governor released the video shortly before Sanders spoke at a rally in Louisville. In the video, Bevin attempted to use that occasion to link his Democratic opponent Beshear to the Vermont senator he called "crazy Bernie."

"Andy Beshear, who is in line with Bernie Sanders — they share the same party, the same ideology, they share the same values on many fronts," Bevin said.

While Sanders was speaking on Sunday, a tweet from Bevin's campaign account shared the video and stated that the senator was in Louisville "supporting his friend, Andy Beshear, and spreading his hateful class warfare and communist ideology."
