Attorney General Andy Beshear is playing coy about whether he'll run for governor in 2019. But a peek behind the curtain on his website shows he's ready to announce he's running with educator Jacqueline Coleman as his running mate.
Beshear sent out a press release Sunday saying he would be stopping in seven cities Monday to make an announcement "concerning the future of Kentucky," and speculation on social media is that Beshear will be making a run for governor. His spokesman, Jonathan Smith, declined to specify the type of announcement that he would make.
But Beshear's website is ready for a campaign launch. One page lists Jacqueline Coleman, assistant principal at Nelson County High School and founder of the education nonprofit Lead Kentucky, as his running mate.
"As Governor, Andy will fight for public education, well-paying jobs, and a state government that is both transparent and inclusive," the website says.

Gonna turn blue, because we've always been here. Now, some see the stakes.
The current governor is beyond corrupt, he's not even slick about it.

(6,486 posts)I don't see where any Republican governor has ever won a second term. This includes the most recent ones, Louis Nunn (1967 - 1971) and Ernie Fletcher (2003 - 2007).
Matt Bevin is not a popular governor. His constant pain in the side throughout his term as governor has been AG Andy Beshear. It wouldn't surprise me that Andy would run. The Beshear family love Kentucky. I feel very good about this matchup.
