Senator Lawn Mower isn't going to the convention this year

He's decided to skip the Klan rall...excuse me I meant GOP convention.

Iowa Senator Chuck Grassley said he will not attend the 2020 Republican National Convention. The senator plans to skip the event over COVID-19 concerns.

Grassley is the oldest Republican in the Senate at 86 years old.

He currently serves as President Pro Tempore. That puts him 3rd in line of presidential succession after the Vice President and House Speaker.

tit (to use his phrase) this since 1959, in the Iowa legislature, US House, and now the Senate. In all that time, much of which I lived in his district, I can only recall on campaign in which he ran ads, and it was that stupid lawnmower commercial.
