Went to Casey's for a pizza last night - I and the cashier were the only ones with masks.

So I just called Casey's contact number and told them in no uncertain terms they have lost my business.

When you go inside a store you have to share the air inside that store with all the other folks. There were 4 other customers in the store at the time. We all go to the same cashier so I have to follow a guy with no mask. From the looks of him he did nothing to care for himself at all. The 18 pack of Coors and the 3 packs of Pall Malls were a hint also.

So I have to walk into the space that he had been in in order to get my pizza. I was fucking dying of hunger.

The woman on the complaint line was sympathetic, but I do not expect anything to happen. Casey's is unfortunately the only decent pizza in my small town, but fuck them. I do not want to die for one of those pizzas.

Casey's strategy is to go into small towns and bury the competition just like Walmart. rurallib May 2020 #2
I know lots of folks personally who are staying away from businesses that don't require masks. Midnight Writer May 2020 #3

Which means no bacon breakfast pizza or cheesy tots for me. And that makes me sad

But it was a shitshow every time I went in there.

There is a local gas station/convenience store in town that does a better job enforcing the rules. I go there

They don't make pizza though...

So now - ten years later - we have 2 gas stations and 2 pizza place etc.

I hate going in there but they literally drove several other places out of business.

wish I could avoid Walmart but they ran all the small stores out of business and they alone have things I need.

Most of the stores I've gone to, the employees have had masks on with a couple exceptions. At the Tractor Supply Co., one employee and me were the only people in the store wearing a mask. Not going there anymore.

Menards has a policy that you have to wear a mask if you want to shop there. If you don't have one, they'll sell you one for 99 cents. Don't know how long that policy will last.

Yesterday I stopped at Planet Fitness to cancel our membership. They just re-opened but I will NOT be going there for the foreseeable future. The employee was wearing a mask and gloves. But I didn't see a single member wearing one. And the parking lot was packed!
