good gawd - As cases in Iowa skyrocket, Reynolds readies to "open" Iowa

Nearly 400 new cases today - she announces farmers markets and other businesses to open. Remember, Iowa never closed. Expect our spike to just keep going.

And she reminds workers that if your business reopens and you fail to go back to work that is a "voluntary quit" and you are no longer eligible for any unemployment.

Choose your poison - covid-19 or starve. Or maybe do what Donny Corona says to do and drink some Lysol.

3. Kim Reynolds is a REPUBLICAN and this is who they are.

Gov. Cuomo said this morning that this crisis is showing us who people are. Republicans like Kim Reynolds are morally bankrupt, selfish, and evil people. This is who they are. This who they have always been.

I hope all the people of Iowa who are now horrified at her actions see once and for all the truth about her and the party she is a member of.

5. These states are only looking at death numbers

I truly believe that. Iowa has 101 total deaths so they think it’s all clear when they compare it to New York. I know that’s what they are doing. No other explanation. It’s a weird way to decide on opening.

Way to go Iowa! Remind again why we give a shit about who they favor for president.

6. Who in the devil is advising her? She isn't bright enough to come up with a plan of any kind.

I have yet to see any decision she has come up with that made me proud.

For those not living in Iowa, Iowans are not that stupid. This year has been a challenge after the primary. Now, with the slaughtering plants exploding with Covid-19 and the governor never shutting down the state, plus enduring the ridiculous comments by King and Ernst and it is hard to argue this point, but we really aren't stupid.

Hopefully, Iowa will be NAVY BLUE in 2020.

9. Since one of the brothers died, I haven't heard much of anything that had Koch tied to it.

The other brother must be keeping a low profile and letting his foundations do the dirty work. The Koch brothers were a virus all their own and their ideas won't be eradicated easily, so long as these foundations are funded.

I worry that one of her "bright ideas" will be to rob the IPERS fund. Surely, she isn't that stupid.

14. I heard something yesterday that the front groups funded by what were the Kochs

were pulling back their funding of the astroturf groups that are protesting because of so much bad publicity.

Remember that they have so many front groups and think tanks that the need to bring down a heavy hand doesn't happen very often.

I seem to recall that Charles (the one who died IIRC) son had taken his dad's spot. Let's face it, they are as secretive as Kim Jung Un.

16. Yes, I had read several years ago (when the "boys" were heavy-handed) that they had several groups.

When I saw the various groups, I threw up my hands. I knew I wouldn't remember the names. Once in a while, I will see the Kochs mentioned as funding a group, which is a lot of help to someone like me that thinks they have done a terrific amount of damage to our country. It's not encouraging to hear that the next generation is stepping up to the plate.

With about 7 minutes left she is asked about workers and slides her answer in. I believe the reporter who asked was from the Omaha paper.
