Kim Reynolds is a coward.

Here’s further proof.

When asked whether she supports further restrictions to Iowa's gun laws, Gov. Kim Reynolds said the federal government needs to take responsibility in discussing gun legislation.

Reynolds told reporters Monday "the federal government has to play a role" in deciding possible firearm restrictions. She says that includes examining background check requirements.

She declined to comment more specifically on Iowa's gun laws, calling them reasonable and responsible.

The NRA--like so many conservative orgs--seeks to distract us by trying to keep the gun control conversation focused on the FEDERAL level.

But: ALEC.

The NRA works through ALEC to push cookie-cutter legislation to willing, paid shills who return to their states, introduce Wild West legislation, and--who knows?

We know this. Why are the DNC and many of our fellow Democrats operating like we've forgotten it? Agreed, there's a lot to take in, but state level offense is pretty damn fundamental, ultimately, to inning at the top.

We need a BOTTOM-UP strategy.

Look no further than a previous Governor. Appeared he hollowed out the Democratic Party in Iowa. Like you say,it is going to take a bottom up approach to fix many of the States Democratic local politics.
