Democratic candidate John Norris to continue campaign launch locally

John Norris, former chief of staff to past Gov. Tom Vilsack, will be in southeast Iowa this week as part of his campaign launch for governor of Iowa.

Norris, a Democrat from Red Oak, will visit Mount Pleasant, Keokuk and Burlington Wednesday to introduce himself to voters.

Red Oak, a small town in southwest Iowa, also is home to the state’s first female senator, Joni Ernst.

Norris works as co-owner of State Public Policy Group in Des Moines, aiming to “promote public policy serving the interests in the well-being of the people.”

At 11:30 a.m. Wednesday, Norris will visit SiP coffee and wine shop, 120 S. Main St. in downtown Mount Pleasant.
