surprise surprise - Iowa workers take it in the shorts

by votes of 53-47 in the house and 29-21 in the senate, Iowa's collective bargaining gutting took place today.

Branstad finally gets his wet dream of busting the unions.

Next: Fucking over the voters

We HAVE to regain those lost seats in the House and Senate. We're going to become like Wisconsin soon.

That I suspect will greatly repress the vote. My guess is they will go after students (make them vote in their home towns) and absentee ballots.

Virginia (per Thom Hartmann) has a bill that will make any absentee ballot request be accompanied by some form of ID as will the actual ballot. That will greatly impinge on the elderly in particular.

We don't know if anything like that will be in Iowa's bill, but you can bet it will make it much harder to vote here.

ETA - that will make it harder for Dems to recover.

Wonder how all them union members who voted Republican are feeling now - lost their collective bargaining, gutting the ACA will drastically change their healthcare, most likely there will be a national "right to work" law that will totally gut unions and will force constant recertification votes.

Happy days are here again! It's the 1890s all over.
