Downstate tornado relief-- Harrisburg, Ridgway, Metropolis, et al....

I have an elderly aunt and uncle who live in Harrisburg, and I've just come back from a flying trip down and back to make sure they were OK (they are). Harrisburg is DEVASTATED-- 6 dead, 250 homes totally destroyed, 100+ businesses destroyed, the hospital damaged, etc. . Immediate relief is being provided, but a lot of folks will need help putting their lies back together, and several organizations will be assisting them in doing so. The three 'on the scene' groups providing near- and long-term assistance to the residents of southern Illinois are the Red Cross, the United Way and Catholic Relief Services, and they could put your donations to very good use. Please consider giving generously, because southern Illinois is very poor, and this disaster has hit them like a ton of bricks.

Thank you in advance,

Bob
