The Ipsos survey for the Washington Post, taken April 27 to May 4, asked 8,000 U.S. adults to rate the performance of their states governor in handling the COVID-19 pandemic. Of Illinoisans surveyed, 71 percent said they approve of how Pritzker has dealt with the disease, and 27 percent disapproved.
If the poll is correct, Americans are much more approving of what their governor has done than of the performance of President Donald Trump. But that didnt stop him this morning from taking credit for whats been accomplished by Pritzker and the others.

I was a bit surprised by this. The media seems to be so focused on the protesters and the people opening their churches and their businesses.

Seems to be looking at numbers to make his decisions and not throwing darts at a board to pick an opening date. Let science / data tell us what to do next, not idiots with their head up their ass!

(22,941 posts)The message of his attackers? Pritzker Sucks. Yep, that's it, the whole thing. No reasons given, no specifics. Just Pritzker Sucks.
Hats, yard signs, bumper stickers. Quite an astroturfed uprising.

(22,941 posts)I don't remember seeing a yard sign campaign like this when the Governor is not even up for re-election.

(2,316 posts)Outside agitators (armed thugs) are trying so hard to tarnish the serious governors, but that seems not to be playing well at all with the citizens from those states.
From Crain's Chicago Business:
Polls: Thumbs-up for Pritzker's handling of COVID-19
Governors from New York (NYC), Illinois (Chicago), and California (Los Angeles) have by far the largest high-density major metropolitan population centers and they are all highly rated by their citizens.
Crain's also notes, "The lowest marks go to Republican governors in Georgia, Florida and Texas who have been quicker to reopen, but only Georgias Brian Kemp is underwater at 39/61, with Floridas Ron DeSantis at 60/38 and Texas Gregg Abbott at 57/41."
Thank you, Governor Pritzker, for working hard to keep us safe.
