New University of Hawaii football coach Norm Chow was engaging and entertaining in his first public appearance today at the Hukilau restaurant in downtown Honolulu.

Chow introduced his coaching staff and answered an array of questions from the audience, covering recruiting to facilities.

He acknowledged the recent success of the UH football program, but added that "we want to elevate it."

--------

Chow also talked about capital improvements at UH, "so we're not shame to show our facilities to recruits."

I've liked Norm Chow as a coach for quite awhile.
