Fellow Georgian Progressives,

I am considering a run for congress in the 7th District against Rep. Rob Woodall. I would appreciate it if you took a look at my blog and posted any constructive comments you might have, or even ideas about using social networking and the internet and volunteers to overcome the substanmtial cash disadvantage I would have.

Please take the time to start reading here: http://www.bearsruletheworld.com/vnflcommunity/entry.php?185-No-Joke...Seriously!

Cheers,

I live In Jackson County, I used to live in Gwinnett though, and my mother teaches there.

also i think you should make a new thread with your ideas instead of hijacking my thread for it, not that i mind but the title of this thread doesn't really bring in the attention.

an Online Campaign i agree would be your best shot and would probably cost you least so you can save up on the contributions to get that $5,000 to be on the ballot, IMO do your best with the free advertising and see if you can make $5k in Donations before you put yourself on the Ballot, if you can't make the 5k in donations i wouldn't see much reason for you to waste your own money on a bad election. you are kind of Lucky, while the nation is slowly Resurging Georgia is only declining, when the Economy goes sour Incumbents tend to have a harder time getting reelected, so in this you might have a better chance than the Incumbent.

Throw me a bone for education if you can if you have a good idea for education legislation and especially one that will please the Teachers, i can pass it on to some in your district. keep in mind teachers really hate educational Legislation that forces them to adhere to scores as teachers see a child's scores a bigger result of the child's work and the teacher gives them the tools to get there. (in the begging of the school year President Obama makes and address to the students, perhaps you can use that for ideas). after Obama's address the schools often do a school wide message on the PA, that basically refutes everything Obama told the students "Obama is a Liar, students don't have to come to school if they don't want to and if the student didn't get the A its the Teachers fault" promise to do something that will prevent schools from saying that and it will increase your popularity among the teachers.

P. S. are you really blind?
