Kendra Zellner (D) wins North Palm Beach Village Council runoff election

Kendra Zellner has defeated challenger Ron Okolichany in the race for North Palm Beach Village Council, according to results posted by the Palm Beach County Supervisor of Elections Office.

Results posted on Thursday, April 9, showed Zellner maintaining a 39-vote lead as the deadline for voters to cure mail-in ballots with signature issues passed. The final vote showed Zellner leading with 50.75% of the vote.

After the vote, North Palm Beach swore Zellner into office after the council voted to appoint her on a temporary basis until the election result is formally certified. She will fill the year year left in the term of Seat 4, once held by Kristin Garrison, who died in late December of brain cancer.

Zellner held a 141-vote lead in mail-in ballots, according to Supervisor of Elections results. Okolichany scored 102 more votes than Zellner on elections.
