SPOTLIGHT RACE: Sarah Henry for FL-HD38
Sarah Henry has worked in non-profits throughout her career, holding roles in development, project management, communications, compliance, and marketing. Her passion for political advocacy was born at a young age, with an elementary school assignment about the laws she would change as the President of the United States.
Sarahs career has been driven by her commitment to social change and finding joy in hard work and bettering the communities around her. Her patriotism and sense of public duty is founded on the service of her maternal grandfather, Grady Biby, who served aboard Naval nuclear submarines for 20 years before being elected to the Kalamazoo County Commission.
Outside work, Sarah enjoys running, a habit that began in elementary school. She has completed multiple multi-day running challenges, and now enjoys supporting her husband, Nicolas, an avid ultra-runner and manager of a Maitland, FL run speciality store. Sarah grew up in small-town Indiana before relocating to sunny south Florida for undergrad, where she met her future husband, a Florida native. The pair now live in beautiful Altamonte Springs, FL with their pit bull mix, Maisel.
Sarah holds a B.A. in Political Science with minor studies in Photography from Lynn University and an M.P.A. with a focus in Nonprofit Management from American University.
