WASHINGTON D.C. Police arrested a woman connected to an armed carjacking.
On Wednesday, 32-year-old Rajaee Dinkins Mitchell, was taken into custody for an organized armed carjacking. The carjacking took place on September 18, just before 7:15 a.m. Reports say, Mitchell was driving on Connecticut Avenue in Northwest the morning she rear-ended the victim.
The victim got out of his car to examine his vehicle and exchange insurance information with Mitchell. However, a routine insurance exchange quickly turned into an armed robbery and carjacking. Multiple people jumped out of Mitchells car and ran up on the victim as he went to approach her.
One of the carjackers pointed a gun at the victim, demanded his car and forced him to empty his pockets. While the victim was complying, the other carjackers jumped inside of the victims car. Once the gunman had the victims property, the carjackers took off in his car. Mitchell followed close behind. Now police are searching for the remaining carjackers involved in this crime.
As this case remains under investigation, D.C. Police are asking for the communitys help...https://www.wusa9.com/article/news/local/dc/rajaee-dinkins-mitchell-carjacking-dc-connecticut-avenue/65-eb988a8f-82fb-4e89-8dc8-1231a094d468
