Connecticut's new covid stats: 17.78% positivity, 7520 new cases, more than 2x last winter's surge.

For context, two months ago our test positivity rate was 2.3% and our previous high was yesterday's 14.98%.

In my little city of 27,000, we have 306 new reported cases in the last week and a half. Of course, many people used home tests and didn't report the results or never got tested at all.

State daily data here: https://data.ct.gov/stories/s/q5as-kyim

Context came from the NYTimes covid tracker and a spreadsheet I started keeping about my city's reported cases.
