Colorado Health Care Cooperative 2013

Colorado Health Care Cooperative 2013

Maybe Colorado can also be a leader in health care reform.

Colorado State Senator Irene Aguilar is making another run at a health care cooperative for all of Colorado:

... "Therefore, be it resolved that Colorado can provide quality, affordable health care for all Colorado residents, with a health care system that is not tied to employment, marital, financial, or health status and yet is fiscally responsible."

Sounds like just what we need. I have seen very little of this plan in the Denver Post or in local media. We need to ask the media and our state reps why, though we know the insurance companies have great clout and lobbying. I feel fortunate to have been with Kaiser since 1975 but I know many people who have terrible coverage and can't afford health care.
Thanks for the post.

For those not familiar with her, she happens to be a practicing physician who got totally fed up with the insurance industry and the suffering it causes and the costs it adds to patient care.
We are extremely fortunate to have her in the state senate!
