For anyone interested my new books which is set in Colorado is available for pre-order

A tale about finding your roots, wherever it may take you

Born in a fish hatchery, Alexander Trout is an orphaned brown trout minnow living a carefree life in the pristine streams and lakes of Colorado. As the years pass, Alexander begins to feel out of place and restless. Native cutthroat trout taunt him and confront him with his truth – that brown trout were brought to the area by humans from a distant land across a great ocean. A reoccurring dream of a majestic horn-shaped mountain, so enormous it would dwarf the mountains in the area, is beckoning him to a far-off land where he senses his ancestors and true homeland could be.

Facing a seemingly insurmountable fear of a dark underwater river, mysterious forces turn his world upside down as he finds himself placed on the wrong side of the Continental Divide with no easy way back to his best friend and his home. With little to go by, Alexander tentatively sets out on an extremely dangerous quest to find the horn-shaped mountain, travelling halfway around the world to make new friends and take incredible risks on his amazing adventure to find his roots.

It's delightful judging from the sample. I'll give you a glowing review once it's in my hands.

I see this becoming a popular future gift in my circle. I'll start the spread and I'm sure it will catch on.

It touches upon how mankind often unwittingly throws nature out of balance and there is a spirit element in the book attempting to put it back in balance.

I lived 35 years in California before that. I have spent many hundreds of days fishing for trout in pristine mountain streams. It gives pleasure to be able to share some of those trout experiences with my grand daughter thru the medium of your book.

so ended up taking photos of the creeks and woods as he fished. But my imagination use to be on fire imagining what it would be like to be a trout living in a mountain creek and to be able to explore up different canyons etc. I am sure you had similar experiences.

Was in Little Rock and Hot Springs for Thanksgiving in fall of 2019. My brother in law grew up in Benton. I really enjoyed Little Rock! First time I had spent any time there.

and your book sounds great, especially for all our travelers. The newest National Geographic (with Mysteries of a Virus on the cover) has a good article "Are We Born to Wander? It is not a rational activity but it's in our genes."

Salmon and Steelhead trout by spawning in small creeks, often in high mountains, then migrating to the Ocean. So Alexander has this kind of adventure built into his blood. However, the story revolves around how Brown Trout were taken from the Black Forest of Germany and stocked in creeks around the US. So Alexander Trout who's earliest memories are of being in a fish hatchery, learns he is from the Swiss Alps and sets out on an adventure to see his true home waters and find out about his family. It touches a lot on how humans have screwed up ecosystems and thrown things out of balance with invasive species and so on a deeper level it's about putting nature back in balance. There are spiritual forces guiding him through the book.
