Related: About this forumI've got a film at the STARZ Denver film festival!
This is my first feature length documentary film and I'm so proud of it, I wanna show it off to some DUers!
It's called "3 Still Standing" and it's about how the comedy world, like so many other professions, has been downsized - with the 1% of comedians getting more money than ever and the middle class of comedy going away. It follows 3 very talented, hilarious guys - Will Durst, Larry "Bubbles" Brown and Johnny Steele - and the challenges they face while being true to their art. They've been friends with Robin Williams for decades and he's in the film along with Dana Carvey, Paula Poundstone and Rob Schneider.
The film is showing at the UA Pavilions on Monday Nov. 17 at 3:45 and 9pm and on Tuesday Nov 18 at 9:30pm. If you're able to come, please come over and say hello. I'll be very happy to see you there.

(43,049 posts)wish you well.
I spent too much time hanging out at NYC comedy clubs in the '80s and saw many of the greats before they were great. And many dreams dashed.
(That was you on Shark Week? You're good at this.)

I'm an admitted "stand-up comic junkie", and the topic of your film sounds fascinating.
Best of luck!!!
