LOS ANGELES (KTLA) – A 19-year-old faces a felony charge of reckless driving after authorities said the motorist sped past a deputy going 126 miles per hour on Pacific Coast Highway in Malibu.

The arrest happened on Sunday when, according to the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department, the deputy was monitoring traffic on PCH near Decker Road. A photo shared on social media shows the deputy clocked the driver of a blue Lexus going 126 miles per hour in the middle of the day.

The 19-year-old was arrested, and the car was immediately impounded, authorities said

I find it hard ro believe that he pulled over voluntarily...

He's one lucky kid--even if he's going to spend some time in prison (any judge who gives him less than some time is doing him no favors)...

Beautiful views but a deadly drive. I was just out there two weeks ago.

Hard to believe but forty years ago I regularly rode it on a bicycle.
