An influential YouTuber was arrested in connection with a stunt where fireworks were allegedly fired from a helicopter at a luxury sports car on federal land.
United States District Court
An influential California-based YouTuber with over 900,000 subscribers was arrested on suspicion of coordinating a stunt on federal land that involved two women shooting fireworks from the air in a helicopter at a Lamborghini sports car doing doughnuts on the ground, officials said Thursday.
Suk Min Choi, 24, of Studio City, known by his followers as Alex Choi, could face up to one count of causing the placement of an explosive or incendiary device on an aircraft, according to a news release from the U.S. Attorneys Office for the Central District of California. If convicted, he could face up to 10 years in federal prison. Choi was scheduled to appear at the Edward R. Roybal Federal Building and U.S. Courthouse in downtown Los Angeles today at 1:30 p.m., Ciaran McEvoy, a spokesperson for the attorneys office, told SFGATE.
Law enforcement officials think the footage, showing Choi hitting a fire missiles button while the women aim fireworks from the helicopter flying near the ground at the sports car, was captured in June 2023 at the El Mirage Dry Lakebed in San Bernardino County, the release said.

Lock him up and throw away the key. He is a completely useless waste of oxygen.
