Muslim prosecutor sues Orange county for alleged sexual and racial harassment by former high-level DA supervisor
A Muslim deputy district attorney in a newly-filed civil discrimination lawsuit against the county alleges that a former high-level DA supervisor subjected her to sexual harassment and racist remarks, and accuses DA Todd Spitzer of retaliating against her.
The prosecutor referred to in the lawsuit as Jane Doe 3 accuses Spitzer of promoting former Senior Assistant District Attorney Gary Logalbo despite his alleged history of sexually harassing female employees. An independent report commissioned by the county previously found that Logalbo a former roommate of Spitzers who was the best man at the DAs wedding decades ago harassed four female attorneys under his supervision.
As Mr. Logalbo unabashedly acknowledged in a text, I am who I am. Todd knew that going in, Attorney Matt Murphy, who is representing Jane Doe 3, wrote in the lawsuit. Mr. Logalbo further boasted he was a walking HR violation who was not going to change.
The lawsuit alleges that since the allegations against Logalbo came to light, Spitzer has embarked on a campaign of retaliation against Plaintiff and others for blowing the whistle on his best friend, and has subjected plaintiff to conduct that has undermined her job performance and ability for advancement within the OCDA.
