Democrats' campaign signs flattened by vendor for Republican Rep. Keith Brooks
This morning, Democratic legislative challenger James Henry Bartolomei posted to social media the top 10 reasons to fire his opponent. By early afternoon, it seemed he had an 11th.
Bartolomei, who is trying to unseat incumbent Republican Keith Brooks in a West Little Rock House district, said in a press release today that someone on Brooks campaign payroll was captured on video taking down Democrats signs, but leaving Republicans signs in place.
Videos provided by Bartolomei show two men removing signs along what appears to be Chenal Parkway across from Costco. The men removed signs for Bartolomei and Democratic congressional candidate Marcus Jones but did not remove signs for Brooks, Republican Congressman French Hill or Court of Appeals candidate Circuit Judge Casey Tucker.
The sign dispute comes a couple weeks after a debate between Bartolomei and Brooks did not take place as scheduled. Bartolomei said Brooks had backed out on the day of the debate and said Brooks had chickened out.
