Gwen Walz coming back to Arizona a week before Election Day
Gwen Walz, the wife of Minnesota Gov. Tim Walz, will campaign on Tuesday in Arizona.
The Minnesota first lady’s visit comes one week before the contentious battle between former President Donald Trump and Vice President Kamala Harris is decided on Nov. 5.
Gwen Walz will campaign at a get-out-the-vote event in Phoenix at noon and a volunteer appreciation event in South Phoenix at 1:30 p.m.
“Mrs. Walz will underscore the contrast between Vice President Harris and Governor Walz’s New Way Forward that will lower costs for families, protect and strengthen our democracy, and ensure everyone has the opportunity to not just get by, but get ahead, versus Donald Trump and JD Vance’s Project 2025 agenda,” the campaign said in a written statement.
