His daughter, Maggie Mull, shared the news to Instagram on Friday, writing, I am heartbroken to share that my father passed away at home on June 27th, after a valiant fight against a long illness.
Maggie, who is a TV witer, added, He was known for excelling at every creative discipline imaginable and also for doing Red Roof Inn commercials. He would find that joke funny. He was never not funny.

(4,935 posts)I always liked him when he popped up in various projects. Mr. Mom and Clue were go-to movies for me in the '80s.

Sitting here listening to the tornado sirens going off and this is holding me here. We are a few miles away and so far not blowing.
Fernwood Tonight is not a good show for these days but in its time it was so funny. After Mary Hartman Mary Hartman I think. I always tried to watch what he did.
Times like this I am always so grateful for the ways we can watch and rewatch.
No more sirens but I think I should go in case.

(34,349 posts)that we have progressed through it is still funny. I watched some of it not long ago and found that the parts that were OK then and not now are really not OK at all and never should have been but those were the grist back then and through that we have grown. I loved Happy Kyne and the Mirth Makers.
