Hawkeye

Just wanted to say the latest episode of Hawkeye blew me away. Great deaf Native American character, and it was shot in mostly silence. The actor who played Officer Big in Reservation Dogs had a great part - and they're teasing the arrival of a BIG villain from the Netflix Marvel shows.

I'm not so sure about Kate's mom though. And I'm POSITIVE that the big bad from the Netflix Marvel is coming.

There’s gonna be a big scene somewhere that involves many, many red track suits simultaneously. Maybe running through Rockefeller Center. I hope so, cause I LOVE movie scenes like that.

Seems perfect for a Christmas show.

Is echo the deaf martial artist? She’s looking like a good guy to me. She’s just not sure who her real enemy is, yet. I like that character. I also think Kate’s aunt is coming back to the picture soon. They are staying in her apartment. Her name was on a movie poster on the wall, as though an actor. Maybe she’s the villain?

She's one of the most exciting characters I've seen introduced recently.

I'm curious if Kate's father will show back up. I'm convinced her family is into some deep shit And I think there's going to be some kind of gang war coming.

Oh, and Black Widow's "sister" is due to show up at some point if the end scene in Black Widow is to be believed.

We're certainly enjoying it. And, it wins the Best Use (or abuse) of Christmas Music award! The chase scene to Mad Russian's Christmas by TSO was brilliant!

That car chase was great. I need to check out the comics this is based on, apparently the car chase is one of the highlights of the comic.

that I have really loved watching since his days on Longmire. If you never watched that 6-year series, (first on A&E then Netflix and now streaming free on ROKU), it is worth the binge. He is of Lakota Sioux (mother) and Irish heritage and a local Denverite. So, I've always had an interest in what he's doing.

I haven't seen Longmire, but I loved him in Rez Dogs and he was great in his brief appearance in Hawkeye.

Watching that series, I was struck by how familiar Willie Jack's father looked to me. Turns out he's a Tucson actor and comic writer who I met a few years ago at a book festival!
