It's always fun to run the contest, even if it is a bit of work.

I think this is going to be a great topic.

This was part of my 1776 in 1976 display, as it had just opened for business that year. It remains the same today.

5. So...photography vs painting colors of black and white

The assignment of two colors was made referencing watercolors, but in photography we are capturing light. Back to Physics 101. Light is photons, traveling in waves, and color is our perception of these different wavelengths. In photography, black is the complete absence of visible light, and white is the presence of all colors combined.

When dealing with physical objects like paint or ink or dyes, black and white are essentially reversed: white is the absence of color and black is the presence of all color.

Just something to consider when looking at the photos entered which may have black or white in them, in addition to the two color theme.

We're getting lots of entries with two colors, but not that many pastels.

A question came up about entering drone shots. Personally, I don't see why not. Who are we to allow some types of cameras but not other types. I think a drone is just another great piece of gear for getting great shots.
