Monday's KC and Shadow -- aka KCChronicles and ShadowTales.

Today's a hodgepodge of peeks at recent weeks for these two.
KC has dealt with winter by hanging out indoors most days. Paws dry.

He loves windowsills.

Likes jumping up on the computer desk. One evening his unpredictable tail
wrapped 'round daddy's camera.

Of course he loves the pet bed,

which is quite relaxing.

Plus mommydaddy's bed is always available for daytimes.

KC did ask out today. He wandered easily in the backyard, until —

"Someone" saw him and the chase was on.

Was big sister proud of "relocating" that bratty cat?

All was right with the world; well, except for KC maybe.

Shadow's been taking it pretty easy. Anywhere she can.

She's been philosophical about winter. Inasmuch as she likes "lazy",
Shadow's always loved wintertime playing in the snow.

Or no snow, playing Jolly Ball!

The other night she did a great job cleaning off the pork roast pan.

KC and Shadow are a double joy to be around.

They accept one another. And seem to love each other too.

Thank You for visiting. See ya next week.

KC and Shadow are very photogenic. I wonder what kind of dog is Shadow? The golden eyes and smoky coat are quite striking. Beautiful.

But if ever I met somebody like Shadow, I could be reprogrammed, I bet. What a beautiful creature she is.

I haven't had a companion animal for many years now, but have furry friends I get to hang out with.

Thanks for those pictures.

I am watching the blizzard blow fine snow in mini tornadoes around my neighborhood right now. It's a good show, from inside.

It’s good to have some reminders of “normal”. Especially really cute ones.

I was curious about why we so often respond to thank-you with those two words in particular and found one person's reasoning.

"You're welcome is something I learned to say when I was coming out of codependency. I started to accept compliments and praise and help without trying to brush it off.

You're welcome helped me to just be in that moment without going into negative overdrive. I still use you're welcome and you're very welcome and I really mean it
when I say this and usually I smile when I say this or when writing this on messages.

I feel happy when I say you're welcome and even happier when I say you're very welcome."

I sort of feel like saying “You’re welcome” validates and answers the other person’s “thank you.” As if to say “I accept and appreciate your gratitude.” Just so they know you got the message, I guess! If that makes any sense.
