I love how the petals curve; and the leaves in the background are very similarly curved. The leaves don't really match the flowers, though. Striped on the right and solid on the left. Which belong to the flowers?

Anyway, a beautiful photo!

The long leaves on the left are the lily's, which have tall stems. The striped leaves on the right are of a flower--I don't know the species--that grows close to the ground. The plantings at Longwood are often in stages, from ground covers to tall-stemmed plants. FYI, there are some 9,000 species of plants at the botanical gardens. I'm planning to visit Longwood on Tuesday for the spring blooms.
