(151,888 posts)Those pastries did look good, but you should have seen the ones that were just out of range! Maybe sometime I'll be able to get some good shots of those.

(1,786 posts)But can you say more about the artworks?
2-dimensional , but because of the bas relief appear 3-dimensional (may not be using the right term for the technique).

(151,888 posts)You bet I can talk about the artworks.
I park my car in an underground garage, and when the elevator opens, right there is the mural that you see parts of today.
I think they are a bas relief, although I haven't examined them closely enough to tell.
I just found this photo from some weeks ago that shows the whole mural wall.
It was sponsored by the Manhattan Beach Education Foundation, which supports our local schools. This photo was taken from right outside the elevator door. The farmer's market is to the right. The whole setup is very convenient!
Hope this sheds some light on your observations.

(1,786 posts)I found the murals so beautiful. Kudos to Manhattan Beach Education Foundation for commissioning pieces like this.
Of course your photography is art in its own right.

(4,997 posts)The color, composition, textures and contrasting dark background in the final photo make it my favorite of the series.
