(52,672 posts)and lit a candle. I was in college in NYC when it happened and the whole floor of the art students' apartments were waiting in line to use the payphone. It was our "John Kennedy moment". I wore black for a month.

(52,672 posts)There was too much commotion and I felt I needed to be alone, listen to his music and grieve in my apt. It was a very difficult time for me since I was a huge Beatles fan. All my friends called me in the days afterwards, knowing I'd be hit hard.

I just watched the beginning of Rosemary's Baby again, just to see the gorgeous Dakota interiors and the courtyard.
