Tom Is my all time favorite, with Prince right up there.

Scorching doesn't begin to cover it.

She loves all these guys: Tom, Prince, and Lynne. She has watched this video dozens of times as it is a truly amazing, historic, performance.

I was teaching when Prince died.
I had junior in homeroom and lunch. Several of the boys were in guitar class, and they liked to play videos at lunch.

After Prince died, they learned. They'd all heard purple Rain, but had no idea who sang it, but appreciated learning more. Then, they wanted to discuss guitar gods.

Oh, you think so and so is the man?

Here....

Wore purple every day that week.

Thanks for the video!!

Minneapolis may not be unique as a creative-nurturing environment when he grew up. However, Prince may be a product of what happens when black Americans are given a chance at a middle class life.

WHat I don't understand is how wypipo can love music and musicians of all colors, they can love their sports teams and athletes of all color, but not real people.

Music, the arts, athletics: talent doesn't care about color. I find the Favres and other racist sportos to be particularly hypocritical and deplorable, because they know better.

Let music continue to bring people together!
