Pharrell Williams and son serve hot meals to homeless on Good Friday
Pharrell Williams and his 10-year-old son, Rocket, spent Good Friday serving hot meals to the homeless in Los Angeles. The musician and his son were serving meals as part of an annual effort hosted by the Los Angeles Mission, a homeless shelter where the city's homeless are provided with shoes, a hot meal and an Easter basket.
"A HUGE thank you to all of our volunteers like @Pharrell Williams for supporting our community. Your dedication is truly appreciated!" Los Angeles Mission tweeted on Friday.
According to TMZ, nearly 4,000 people received meals including pork decorated with apple glaze, mac and cheese, peach crisp and more.
Friday's meal service wasn't the first time Williams has volunteered to help the shelter. TMZ reported that the musician also volunteered during Thanksgiving and has helped the shelter on several other efforts.
