One of my bosses (the same one that gets me into the NAMM show) straight worships the man. Bought him a drink at the bar just before the show. Friendly dude. Never stopped smiling. (Well of course. We were buying him drink after drink. I'd've been smiling, too.)

Excellent show. Amazing guitar player. Just amazing.

(EDITED TO ADD: The surprise of the show for me was the drummer, name of Virgil Donati. I've seen some drummers in my 56 years, but good god damn, that guy is special.)

I've been a rock music fan through childhood in the 60s, high school in the 70s, Hollywood metal and then Thrash in the 80s (where I admit I got stuck until the late 00s, when I made my peace with growl singers). But with that kind of background, and being a guitar player myself, I live inside a fog of guitar gods, only every now and again sensing the existence of greatness from one of the other instruments (singers notwithstanding...lol.)
