(75,848 posts)We opened for them in the mid 80s. They were still super big heat in the Midwest then, so it was quite the honor to be on the same bill, though we were aware nobody was there to see us.
All 4 guys were very pleasant sorts, especially Robin & Rick.

(75,848 posts)...he was doing his own thing with (I believe) his wife. But, it was an amicable split, so he still came to shows.
Pete something or other was playing bass, but it seemed he was not part of the in-crowd.
Tom played a few songs that night. It was, in Chicago, essentially a hometown gig for them.
Tom came back to the band a few years later. I don't recall how long he stuck around.

There were two short term replacements, Pete and Jon but the "fit was not right".
