Unique, I never heard music like hers before. And I loved that she is a soprano, because I was a first soprano in our school concert choir. She was singing those incredibly high notes and doing so well at it.

This song is a good example of what made me feel she was very unique at that time, and I thought her voice was really cool….i tried to sing along with her. I could hit the notes but I could not keep up with her technique, her style. It was by trying to sing along with her, that I learned how mediocre I really was as a singer. Maybe good enough to be part of a school or church choir, but nothing beyond that.

The song is “Wuthering Heights” but it is her redone version, years after her 1970s version, when she had grown and developed much further as a singer. The later version gives me chills at times.
