True Story: My cousin had spotted the band at the airport in Detroit, ca. 1971. We were kids in our early teens, there to pick up a family member flying in from someplace. "Look! It's the MC5!" We walked up to the band and got their autographs. Smith and the entire band were genuinely nice people.
