(56,062 posts)Beautiful fabrics, well tailored.
Even over the top design.
Of course, for myself I just wear Old Navy leggings and sweatpants.

(24,097 posts)I always had to dress up while at work as the Manager of multiple departments. These days I'm retired and dress casually & comfortably as my top criteria, light and loose for the FL summer/fall. I will always gravitate to and wear pretty colors, just like I put pretty prints in my home. But even though I wouldn't wear them, I still love seeing the new clothes lines, especially the beautiful evening gowns. Some of them are stunning, some are silly, but I still like to look at them.
I always loved clothes, even as a child.
I would dress up for work as well. But now that I am retired I go for comfort.
Even though I shop at Chico's and Old Navy, I try to put together a pretty look.
Right now, I am trying younger more funky styles for fun.
Yes I try to put together pretty and fun stuff together in terms of house decor.
I think when you have a love of pretty things it shows in your environment.
One of my cousins is just like me. Once we were in a large well known city museum, and there was a vintage fashion design exhibition. My cousin and I got gobsmacked by an exquisite Coco Chanel display, she had designed a dress for a Hollywood star back in the 30's or 40's. It was luscious fabric, unbelievable beading and detail work. We spent almost an hour looking at each part of the dress and finally had to move on to let others look at it. We were transported and completely did not see others lining up to see the dress. We were embarassed.
Right, even the Met Gala which were silly, still were interesting to see.
Others were stunning.
