In high school, Shakespeare’s name was difficult for me. Now, Tchaik is going to be!

I had to learn many of his themes when I played piano for ballet classes. I never liked “Sleeping Beauty.”

ETA: It sounds better played by an orchestra than on piano, in my opinion.

I had a Russian instructor and the pianist, Olga, was the daughter of an in-town Rus Orthodox priest. If our instructor got a tad off color at times, she'd blush and giggle. He used to say, "You keep dancing even if your tutu comes down!" 🤣 He used to affectionately call her 'Olychka'.
