1. Three of my all time favorite comedies!

My Favorite Wife -- Cary Grant is just the best at physical comedy. The shot of him in an elevator with his second wife as he spots his supposedly dead first wife . . .

My Favorite Year -- Peter O'Toole as a washed-up Errol Flynn type, invited to guest on a 1950s variety show . . . at the end, he drunkenly saves the day when mobsters attack the show's host, live!

Ninotchka -- billed as "Garbo Laughs!", and her first comedy. She turned out to be a great straightwoman, but she retired after her next film. Hollywood tried to tempt her back in front of the camera for decades, but . . . . Enjoy her laugh!

but realistic fiction/history. I feel the same way about "A Face In The Crowd". Our society has fallen pretty far.
