Hey fellow DU artists and those who appreciate art.

This is a damaged Cypress tree from our devastating 2015 Memorial weekend flood. The color is really saturated in this image- extra pinkish tones.

"Still Standing Tall"

Hope to share more later and spend some time going back through this Group to look at other art posted.

Madison Cawthorn was boxing with this tree.

It's beautifully rendered. Striking colors.

beating on a tree. Just my first thought when I saw it.

Your wonderful tree really looks nothing like that dude's destructive tree beat-down video. Just my dumb sense of humor.

I loved the unusual color choice. Also the perspective. Sorry to make dumb comments that confused.

I didn't know there was a tree beat down video. Didn't think I could dislike that guy any more than I already did -but LEAVE TREES ALONE punk!!
So yeah, if I had known the reference - I may have understood your "dumb" sense of humor. I prefer to think it was quirky humor.
Thanks for your appreciation of the painting though.

Have a good one.

Thanks. I've always loved that painting by Georgia. I love most of her work though.

I have seen a number of her exhibits, but I have never seen that work. I am a tree lover and it is just enchanting!

I've been enjoying your pastel landscapes for a while. A compliment is always appreciated, of course, but praise from a fellow artist whose work I appreciate, is even sweeter. So, thanks for that.
