In years of hearing/ reading explanation of Mon Lisa, I've not heard this level of detail. Thank you so much.

... i spent my educational life learning the sciences but always mourned my lack of arts knowledge ....

In art school we studied various types of producing artwork. I copied the Mona Lisa uses glazes (also Vermeer) and it was so easy. My teacher was so right. It's the only way to go for me.
